Nice article and I&#039;d agree with you regarding the various versions needed.  The only thing I might suggest to a website owner is that they start with a smartphone one - dependent on their website a lot render OK on an ipad.

I would also mention that in our experience two things happen after we&#039;ve built a mobile version of a site.  Firstly, bounce rates decrease dramatically and more importantly conversion rates increase.  We typically see a 3-5 fold increase in conversions following the inplementaion of a mobile version of a website.

Finally we built a mobile emulator so users can see what their existing website looks like on a mobile phone - it&#039;s free to use at http://www.sayuconnect.com/mobile_check.php I hope it&#039;s of use to some of your readers.
